Week 8: Where are you from?

National Costume Day this Friday (24th of March). Let's wear clothes or costumes that would represent where we come from.

In preparation for this, we will look at the question "Where are you from?" 

Here's a list of nations of the world. What nations or countries have they missed?

Week 7 Challenges

Central courtyard was closed and we were surrounded with noise, both classroom noise and the men at work on the roof.

We are learning to manage our distractions and focus on our learning.

We are learning to work together.

  

We worked on creating tunnels.

Now, why? What's the purpose of the tunnel? Why make a tunnel? We will continue to explore it's purpose.

Learning rolls on Week 5, 6, and 7!

A lot has happened in three weeks. 

Every Thursday, we have Mandarin lessons with  Lily.

We are learning what we can do for independent activities for Maths and Literacy.

We can read and make booklets of Maths Galaxy books.

 

We can practice our basic facts using the laminated sheets, the basic facts tower, or the flash cards.

We can run Maths workshops.

When we had a reliever, we made clocks with her. We are learning how to tell time by counting in fives.

We are learning how to identify fractions.

We are continuously learning how to re-tell, make connections and extend our ideas.

As a class we read a non-fiction book "Look at me close-up!".
 (See Sunshine Online Learning Space 3 "Look at me close-up!" ).

We looked at things in close-up using a smartphone microscope.

We wrote about the things we saw in close-up.

We are learning to extend our ideas.

Week 4 Update

This was the week we learned some funky dance move from Ezra Dance Demo. 

This was the week we went to Long Bay. 

Swimming was our first activity.

Then we played some games.

We played some relay games.

Then we had lunch.

After lunch, we built our sandcastles.
